Kowhai Kids is a family owned and operated provider of quality early childhood care and education.

We offer both centre-based and in-home educare choices to meet the different needs of children and families. We are committed to a working partnership with both families and community.

Kowhai Kids recognizes that the first years of a child’s life are the time of most rapid learning and development. We aim to provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences for each child in a positive environment where the child feels supported and valued.

We believe that the experience of play enables children to discover how friendships are made; stimulates them to find language and enables them to develop the skills they need to support them in tackling the complexities of the world.

Whether in our richly resourced centres, or in the warm, welcoming homes of our carefully selected educarers, children are encouraged to learn and grow at their own pace. We value children’s self esteem and promote positive reinforcement. Our education programme is based on Te Whaariki, upholds the Treaty of Waitangi and encourages Te Reo both in centres and homes.
