Our Service
At Kowhai Kids, we believe that relationships formed during a child’s early years are the foundation for emotional security and social development for later life. What they experience, feel and know in their infant and toddler years becomes the map by which they will navigate the world.
Hours
We are open from 6.45am until 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. We offer half day (mornings or afternoons up to 4 hours) short day bookings (8.30am to 3.30pm) up to full day bookings. Child are required to attend for a minimum of two days per week to enable them to settle into centre routines.
Communication
Each child at Kowhai Kids has an online portfolio recording their learning experiences at the centre via Educa. The Educa tool is also a key way for us to communicate to our families and whanau about important information and updates at the centre. This private link can also be shared with your whanau to provide them access to your child’s time at the centre.
20 hours ECE and WINZ Subsidies
Kowhai Kids are registered to provide 20 hours ECE for children aged 3 and over. We also offer WINZ childcare subsidies for those that qualify under the rules set by MSD. Please discuss these with us.
Meals
Kowhai Kids believe that healthy, balanced nutrition is very important for all children. We have a centre cook/housekeeper who prepares our menu and food. We are committed to nut-free premises, use free-range eggs, minimise refined sugar and cater to all sorts of allergies and preferences.
